Course description

Introduction to BIM technology is an official course intended for all students, engineers and architects, as well as for all those who want to enrich their knowledge and skills with the single most important technology in the AEC industry. Beside theoretical aspects, the participants will get familiar with the software applications that are serving BIM technology.

Create architectural 3D model including walls, floors, roofs, stairs, railings, ramps, ceilings, doors, windows and curtain walls
Working with components (families), such as furniture elements, lights and equipment
Working with views, how to create and organize model views
Preparation of technical documentation, such as 2D details, dimensions, tags, symbols
Working with schedules for elements and materials
Preparation of sheets for printing and exporting in dwg format
Introduction to Autodesk Navisworks 2020
Creating of federated model
Clash detection and conflict resolution
Construction preparation activities with Autodesk Navisworks 2020

Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is state of art technology that gives architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure. Reports show up to 50% in project budgets and time for completion savings, while increasing the quality of the projects. Companies, as well as the governments are implementing BIM technology for achieving higher competitiveness and economic prosperity. That’s why BIM specialization is most appreciated and valued skill.

Strong design software skills are a great asset in both the academic and professional arenas. Teaching students to use state-of-the-art Autodesk® design software, along with the Autodesk User Certification certification gives them a significant advantage in achieving college or career success.

After the completion of the course, every attendant receives a certificate – “Autodesk Certificate of Completion”.
